It is with great joy, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility that we welcome you to the African Inclusive Economic Summit (AIES) 2026, taking place from November 24 to 26, 2026. We sincerely thank you for joining us for this historic gathering on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and our co-conveners. Our theme, “Unlocking Africa’s Economic Potential Through Disability Inclusion,” is both a shared vision and an urgent call to action for our continent.

Across Africa, millions of persons with disabilities possess immense talent, creativity, skills, and determination to contribute meaningfully to our economies. Yet, many continue to face systemic barriers to education, employment, finance, technology, and leadership. We cannot build a truly prosperous, sustainable, and competitive Africa while a significant portion of our population remains excluded from economic opportunities. It is vital to remember that inclusion is not charity; inclusion is investment, innovation, and core economic development.

This Summit is designed to be far more than just a conference—it is a platform for genuine, lasting change. AIES 2026 brings together global stakeholders, governments, private-sector leaders, investors, development partners, civil society organizations, and advocates to explore practical solutions and mobilize investment commitments. From our plenary discussions to the Heads of Government Session, our collective focus is to move beyond promises and develop actionable steps that place disability inclusion at the absolute heart of Africa’s economic transformation.
